In spite of stiff opposition, Senate approves Edo states $75m World Bank loan

The state governed by Adams Oshiomhole, is now eligible for a $75 million World Bank for Edo state.On Thursday, August 13, the Senate approved the request of President Muhammadu Buhari for the loan for Edo state.After considering the report of the Senator Kabiru Gaya-led ad-hoc committee, the Senate gave its approval.
In spite of stiff opposition by Senator Mathew Urhoghide, of the Peoples Democratic Party member, the Senate approved the loan.
