Ambrose Alli University (AAU) short down indefinitely as student protest over hike in school fees.

The Edo State owed University Ambrose Alli University in Ekpoma has being shut down till further notice by the school authorities following a violent protest by the student over 200 percent hike increase in the tuition fees of the institution.


The student barricade the high way and set a truck carrying goods on fire .

According to source the protest went bloody  as military personnel opened fire in the air to scare the student away which later result the the death of a student and others currently in the hospital for treatment.
In retaliation, students have now blocked the Benin-Auchi road, claiming that it will remain blocked until their demands are met.
