Facebook, Whatsapp and Instagram stop working, Cause

User of Facebook, Whatsapp and Instagram which are all owned by the same company experienced some difficulty using the 3 platform for more than 6 hours yesterday Monday, and many people were worried.

Whatsapp and Instagram are back online and working perfectly well, but Facebook is still down by the time of writing this article.

Facebook inc, has come out to make an official statement for the cause of the outage which lasted for more than 6 hours; 

"Our engineering teams have learned that configuration changes on the backbone routers that coordinate network traffic between our data centers caused issues that interrupted this communication," Facebook said.

Facebook apologizes for social media outage;

“To the huge community of people and businesses around the world who depend on us: we’re sorry. We’ve been working hard to restore access to our apps and services and are happy to report they are coming back online now. Thank you for bearing with us,” the company said in a statement posted on rival platform Twitter.
